Mizuno Infinity Trail Run: Mt. Batulao

Ever thought that Mizuno will someday have a trail run or mountain run? Well, that’s not impossible, i suppose. Here it is one of the participant of Rush Mizuno Infinity Run who got lost on Mt. Batulao on Sunday morning of July 13, 2008 =)

This picture was taken on the new developed trail to the summit of Mt. Batulao.

Josel and his buddy were having a mountain run training that morning. They will join TNF Trail Run 20k on July 27, 2008. Just before i left my apartment heading to evercrest nasugbu, i received a text from Josel informing me that he will go to Mt. Batulao for a mountain run. So we decided to meet each other at the peak. We never met before. I knew Josel through friendster. He is a hardcore mountaineer from Ambassador Mountaineering Club in AUP.

That morning, as i pass from camp 1 to camp 6, there were a lot of climbers. I could imagine that later they will all flock at the peak to see sunrise. And that was happened. There were more than 30 climbers flocking the peak waiting for a clearing. On the picture above, several mountaineers are approaching the summit from the new developed trail and behind the photographer were another groups of mountaineers enjoying the view from the summit while taking pictures.

this is one of the many peaks in Mt. Batulao that one should pass before reaching the highest peak.

“Incredible Mt. Batulao: view from the top”
