The Taste of the TNF: Thrill of the Trail

This morning at 6am, i went run to the actual route of the TNF: Thrill of the Trail in Nasugbu with Ivy Macainan. Unlike the other day, it was not so windy but still chilly this morning. I was wearing the TNF singlet and double it with another running jacket. Added to this, i also wear TNF ETIP Glove. However, having wear all those stuff, after the run, i didn’t sweat so much. It was still chilly and windy for me.

Commenting on the route: Below is the route generated through Google Map downloaded from my GF305. My GF305 registered a distance of 9.5k in one loop but i think the readings on the GPS did not consider the actual land distance on the rocky trail along the steep slopes. Based on this assumption, i think the actual distance could be more than 10k. Grasses along the trail has been cleared. The farmers were just planted the corn few days ago (one precaution for runner is not to step on the newly planted corn or run across the corn fields, the trail is visible and clear). If there will be no rain until the race day, the trail is going to be fine. This morning was practically no mud along the trail. Just the poo of the cows here and there. The excellent view of the farms is really fascinating.

  1. Hi there Java man :) Lovely info on the trail conditions. Are they corn shoots or bare furrows with newly sown seeds underneath? Either way the newly ploughed fields should be as soft as bermuda grass. Hope to meet you at the ROX clinic.

  2. Miraclecello,
The corn is still very young, 20cm high from the ground. Yes, hope to see you at ROX this coming thursday.
