I can relate to most of the things you say here, having seriously started to run more this year. I was laughing more on the race t-shirts since I've managed to reach almost ten shirts in just three months! Still, don't you think that the writer of the article was stating the fact from a developed world perspective? Other race organizers like Botak and Adidas here have professional looking race singlets and shirts. It is cost effective too, considering that branded running shirts can go as high as 2,000 pesos and the quality of the new race singlets have definitely improved based on what I've seen first hand and from another friend who has run for several years. So yes, I love the article, but it should also leave enough room for thought for other runners who have the love for running but may not have the logistics to keep up with the running gears and all. In ending, let's try to be more sensitive as well as we do have good runners that still have limited resources. I've seen them in races and I'm glad that they somehow manage to get sponsors to help them out.

Jerry, I always laugh whenever I read this. Thanks for publishing this in your blog. It makes my day. A real runner could actually relate to the different views mentioned in the whole article. And I'm happy that I'm not the only one drinking Diet Coke. There's twenty million of us heh heh . . .
